I am Sónia Costa, a freelance medical writer based in Germany, founder of Papyrus Scientific Communications, and a passionate for science. My academic background provides me an analytical training and attention to detail, essential skills for medical writing. Moreover, having worked at top-notch international environments enabled me to develop an effective and friendly communication, a strong scientific knowledge, and hands‑on experience in infectious diseases. I enjoy to interact (and learn!) with researchers from a broad range of biomedical disciplines and cultural backgrounds.
I have over ten years of experience presenting complex data, state of the art, and progressive ideas in a clear, accurate, yet simple and compelling mode, with the highest scientific and ethical standards. I have a solid training in grant proposals, animal ethical applications, and in a plethora of scientific reports. In 2018, I joined the European Medical Writers Association (http://www.emwa.org) and I am happy to benefit from their training and professional development resources as a source of inspiration to grow as a medical writer.
I pride myself for my ability to work under tight deadlines and for my flexibility. I adjust quickly to already advanced projects and I also enjoy taking part of a vibrant team at the embryonic stages. I am happy to broaden my range of services and I welcome the challenge to discuss and develop a project tailored to your needs.
